Sewing Time

I have done a little bit of sewing this week. I have embellished turtle costumes for the dogs up the street. They are rescue dogs and will be attending several events this Halloween. With a needle, some thread and some they are now Ninja Turtles. My neighbor will add the weapons.

This is Roxie and she is a puppy and this will be her first Halloween. Her body language suggests that she might not be overjoyed with getting dressed up.

I have been busy cutting my 2.5" strips into 2.5" squares.  I have several project in mind for those squares. The fabric in this bin is pretty ugly. It is either fabric I bought at one time or another or it is fabric I have inherited from my sister. The ugly stuff will look better in small doses!

You can never have enough 2.5" squares cut. I have used up so many of mine, and still have more. I was needing something to do yesterday and I found a whole bunch of 9-patch blocks already put together. The quilt I wanted to make was half done! I got the setting blocks done and the layout completed yesterday. Just a little sewing before bed last night :)

I can't make enough quilts to use up all my 2.5" squares. They are fun to keep making!

What a nice feeling to work through an odd pile and make another bigger pile of nice little squares!
